Just as no one can partake of an inheritance from a family they were not born into, so it is with the family and kingdom of God. A person cannot enjoy the blessings of redemption unless they are first born into God’s family.
The Scriptures make it clear that access to the promises, healing, power, and blessings of God is reserved for His children. This truth is illustrated in Jesus’ encounter with the Syrophoenician woman:
“Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it unto the dogs.”
— Mark 7:27 (KJV)
Although her faith moved Jesus to act, His words revealed a spiritual principle: the children’s bread belongs to the children. In the same way, the blessings of salvation, healing, deliverance, and eternal life belong to those who are born into God’s family through Christ.
For this reason, it is vital to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Through salvation, you gain access to all that Christ has purchased for you by His blood.
The Way of Salvation
The Word of God clearly explains how a person is saved:
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
— Romans 10:9–10 (KJV)
If you have not yet received Jesus Christ into your life, now is the right time.
The Salvation Prayer
If you are ready, pray this prayer sincerely from your heart:
Prayer
Lord Jesus,
I come to You today.
I acknowledge that I am a sinner, and I turn away from my sins.
I believe in my heart that You are the Son of God,
that You died for my sins,
and that God raised You from the dead.
I confess You as my Lord and Savior.
Come into my heart and take full control of my life.
Wash me clean by Your blood,
forgive me of all my sins,
and make me a new creation.
Thank You, Lord Jesus, for saving me.
From this day forward, I choose to live for You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Congratulations — You Are Now Born Again
If you prayed this prayer sincerely, you are now saved, forgiven, and born again. You are no longer outside God’s family; you are now His child.
Growing Into Spiritual Maturity
Salvation is the beginning, not the end. After being born again, the next step is spiritual growth and maturity so that you can fully understand and access what Jesus purchased for you through His blood.
The Scripture says:
“Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;
But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.
Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:
But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.”
— Galatians 4:1–7 (KJV)
