Giving is an act of worship that flows from revelation, not obligation. It is the outward expression of an inward understanding that all we possess has first been entrusted to us by God. When a believer gives. Giving expresses our love and trust to God. When Solomon gave to God, God was moved and asked what Solomon wants Him to do for him. Our giving brings honor to the Lord as it helps with the advancement of His work. True giving is rooted in gratitude, shaped by trust, and governed by stewardship. It reflects a heart that recognizes God as Source, Provider, and Sustainer, and it declares confidence that what is released in obedience is never lost, but placed into eternal purpose.
3 And Solomon loved the Lord, walking in the statutes of David his father: only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places. 4 And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar. 5 In Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee.
1 kings 3:3-5.
“So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.”
— 2 Corinthians 9:7 (NKJV)
At The Fullness of God Mission, we believe that generosity flows from understanding the grace we have received in Christ. Scripture teaches that giving begins in the heart:
“So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.”
— 2 Corinthians 9:7 (NKJV)
Giving is voluntary and joyful. It is an expression of faith and partnership in the work of the gospel.
When we give, we acknowledge that everything we have comes from the Lord:
“The earth is the LORD’s, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein.”
— Psalm 24:1 (NKJV)
Giving is seed sowing, with expectation of harvest.
“But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.”
— 2 Corinthians 9:6 (NKJV)
While giving is never a strategy to win God’s heart but it naturally brings you in favor with God because He loves a cheerful giver. Scripture teaches that generosity places the believer in alignment with God’s covenant principle of increase. The Lord is not indebted to man, yet He is faithful to respond to obedience with provision, sufficiency, and grace for continued stewardship. The blessing that follows giving is not limited to material increase; it also includes the grace to abound in every good work, the sustained capacity to continue in faithful stewardship, and a deepened trust in God as Provider and Sustainer. When we give in faith and sincerity, we position ourselves under the promise that God supplies and multiplies what is sown for His purposes.
“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”
— Luke 6:38 (NKJV)
Giving supports the advancement of teaching, discipleship, outreach, and the spread of sound doctrine. It enables the work of ministry to continue faithfully and with integrity.
The early church understood partnership in giving:
“Now you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church shared with me concerning giving and receiving but you only.”
— Philippians 4:15 (NKJV)
And Paul declared concerning their generosity:
“Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account.”
— Philippians 4:17 (NKJV)
Giving is not about transactions.
It is about participation.
It is about fruit that endures.
We honor transparency, integrity, and stewardship. Every gift is handled with prayerful responsibility and accountability before God.
If you choose to give, may it be done freely, joyfully, and in faith, as worship unto the Lord.
